Something weird is going on with LinkedIn.com right now. CSS is all messed up and the site looks barebones.
Inkwell is not enabled for my account. Can some from @help look into this please?
I switched to Proton Mail a few years ago. Just renewed on the Family Plan and got my wife to switch to Proton Mail too! Works so well, we get Mail, Calendar, Drive, VPN and Pass. Gmail forwarding is set up for both of us, and we moved our shared calendar over to Proton Calendar. So far so good!
I guess people aren’t buying enough Apple hardware?

Tried to fire up Inkwell and saw “Inkwell is not yet enabled for your Micro.blog account.” Is access still being rolled out @manton ?
Upgraded from micro.one to micro.blog today after listening to some old episodes of Core Intuition. There is so much value in the $1/month functionality, I felt bad not paying more for it 😝
Just found out that starting a post on micro.blog with a @ mention acts as a “reply” instead of a regular post. It’s a little strange but I’ll just keep that in mind when posting @manton
Set up the Petlibro Luma today. Its opening is way bigger than the previous Coziley litter machine! Hoping the cats love it. So far so good.
How To Learn
Key points in Sam's post about how to learn:
If you want to learn something, just start doing whatever you want to learn.
- Learn by doing.
- Learning a bunch of stuff before trying to do is useless.
- Learn what you want to learn. This keeps you motivated and excited. Motivation is a powerful tool.
- When you get started with something new, you'll suck at it. That's okay.
So, go start doing right now. Seriously, close this blog post and fire up Google. There's no time like the present.

HTML 5
Ready or not, here it comes. Despite the confusion surrounding its evolution, real-world HTML 5 is right around the corner. Longtime ALA contributor J. David Eisenberg returns to get us all up to speed on the markup we’re about to be writing.
Information overload: the river analogy
Dawn Foster from WebWorkerDaily on the information overload of social networks. Love the river analogy:
Think about it like a river of information. When you have a few minutes, you can dip your toes into the water for a little break, but you don’t need to spend the entire day swimming in it. Participating in social web sites is like a huge chat room. You participate when you can, but you don’t need to catch up on the conversations that you missed during the times when you weren’t in the chat.

NetNewsWire loves Google Reader
I've wanted a desktop client that syncs with Google Reader for a long time and I'm glad that Brent Simmons is developing it:
The public beta of NetNewsWire 3.2b6 is on nnwbeta.com. Includes Google Reader syncing, send to Instapaper, and a new app icon.

You're glowing today...
People Emit Visible Light: "An Anonymous Reader writes 'The human body literally glows, emitting a visible light in extremely small quantities at levels that rise and fall with the day, scientists now reveal. Japanese researchers have shown that the body emits visible light, 1,000 times less intense than the levels to which our naked eyes are sensitive. In fact, virtually all living creatures emit very weak light, which is thought to be a byproduct of biochemical reactions involving free radicals.'
